Hospital infrastructure can be limited outside Athens, which makes a repatriation or transfer to a better-equipped facility more common than elsewhere — particularly after a diving or water-sports accident.
Depending on the severity of the patient's condition, our team organizes either a direct transfer from the island concerned, or a medical stopover in Athens before the return flight to France.

Formalities & coordination
As an EU member state, Greece simplifies some administrative steps compared with a non-EU route. Flight clearances for the air ambulance are still required, particularly for a direct departure from an island airfield.
