Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. The French version of this policy is the legally binding version under French law; this English translation is provided for convenience only.
Data controller
The controller of personal data collected on this site is JET-VIP.COM (a French SASU with share capital of €100,000), located at 2 avenue Jean Monnet, 26000 Valence, France, RCS Romans 882 942 972, referred to below as "Ambulance Flight" or "we".
No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed at this time. For any question regarding your personal data, contact us at ops@ambulanceflight.com.
Data we collect
- Via the contact / quote request form: name, phone, email, patient location, destination, and a free-text summary of the medical situation you choose to share with us. This last element may constitute health data under Article 9 of the GDPR.
- Via your browsing: technical cookies and audience-measurement trackers — see our Cookie Policy for details.
The name, phone and email fields on the form are required to process your quote request; without this information we are unable to respond to you. The other fields, including the medical situation summary, are optional and shared entirely at your own initiative.
Why we process this data
- Responding to your request and, where relevant, organizing a medical evacuation or repatriation mission;
- Managing our relationship with patients, families, insurers and assistance companies;
- Measuring and improving the Site's audience and performance.
Legal basis
Exchanges related to a quote request rely on pre-contractual measures taken at your request, and on our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry.
Processing of the medical information you voluntarily share with us relies on your explicit consent (Article 9.2.a GDPR). This consent is requested specifically when you submit the form; you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
Audience-measurement cookies rely on your consent, collected via the Site's cookie banner.
Data recipients
Your data is shared with Ambulance Flight / JET-VIP.COM staff authorized to handle your request (medical and operational coordination), and, where necessary to organize your mission, with the air carriers, medical teams and providers involved. It is never sold, rented, or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
Two technical providers may access data strictly to provide their services, under confidentiality obligations: Gandi SAS (Site hosting and email, a French company) and Google LLC (Google Analytics audience-measurement tool, only after your consent).
Transfers outside the European Union
Site hosting and email (Gandi SAS) are provided by a French company; this data does not leave the European Union.
We use Google Analytics to measure the Site's audience. This tool may involve a transfer of certain technical data (truncated IP address, browsing identifiers) to the United States, outside the European Union — this is currently the only transfer outside the EU in place. Google relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses to govern this transfer. We disclose that the CNIL (the French data protection authority) has, in the past, raised concerns about the standard configuration of Google Analytics' compliance with the GDPR; we monitor this issue and may migrate to a Europe-hosted solution. This tracker is only activated after your explicit consent via the cookie banner.
Retention period
- Data of a contact who does not become a client: 3 years from the last exchange.
- Data of a patient/client following a completed mission: duration of the relationship, plus applicable legal retention and limitation periods (including accounting and medical liability requirements).
- Audience-measurement data: 13 months maximum, per CNIL recommendations.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or disclosure, with heightened care for health data.
Automated decision-making
We do not use any fully automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or significantly affects you in a similar way. Any decision related to organizing your mission is made by a member of our team.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and French data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your data, as well as data portability and the right to define directives on the fate of your data after your death. You may exercise these rights by writing to ops@ambulanceflight.com. We will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) — 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — www.cnil.fr.
