Terms of Service

The French version of these terms is the legally binding version under French law. This English translation is provided for convenience only.

1. Purpose and scope

These terms of service ("Terms") govern any air ambulance and medical evacuation flight coordination and charter service ordered from JET-VIP.COM, a French SASU with share capital of €100,000, registered with the Romans Trade and Companies Register under SIREN 882,942,972, with registered office at 2 avenue Jean Monnet, 26000 Valence, France, trading as Ambulance Flight ("Ambulance Flight", "we"). Placing an order with Ambulance Flight constitutes unreserved acceptance of these Terms by the client ("the Client").

As stated in our Legal Notice, Ambulance Flight acts as a broker / intermediary: we organize the charter of medically equipped aircraft through third-party air carriers holding the required certificates and licenses (including a valid Air Operator Certificate); we do not own or operate any aircraft and do not ourselves perform the flight.

2. Quotes and booking

Every mission is the subject of a detailed written quote, prepared from the medical and logistical information provided by the Client (or by the insurer/assistance company acting on the Client's behalf). The quote specifies the total price, the aircraft envisaged, the planned medical crew and the main steps of the mission. The booking is only firm once payment under Article 4 has been received; until then, availability of the aircraft and medical crew is not guaranteed.

Given the often urgent nature of these missions, a verbal or electronic (email, WhatsApp) confirmation of the quote constitutes an order, subject to payment being completed as soon as possible.

3. Price

There is no fixed price list: each price is set case by case based on distance, aircraft type, required medical crew, associated ground transport and flight formalities (see our Air Ambulance Cost page for the factors taken into account). The price stated in the quote is firm for the mission as described; any substantial change in the patient's condition, destination, or means required during the mission may result in an adjustment, communicated to the Client as soon as possible and, where circumstances allow, before it is implemented.

4. Payment terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing (notably for cases billed directly to an insurer or assistance company, see our Insurers & Assistance Companies page), the total mission price is payable in full at the time of booking, before the aircraft and medical crew are mobilized. Payments are accepted by bank transfer or credit card. No mission is committed until payment is received, unless Ambulance Flight expressly agrees otherwise in view of the case's urgency.

5. No right of withdrawal

Under Article L.221-2, 9° of the French Consumer Code, contracts for passenger transport services are excluded from the scope of the French rules on distance contracts, including the 14-day right of withdrawal set out in Articles L.221-18 et seq. As the service covered by these Terms consists of organizing an air ambulance flight (passenger transport), the Client does not benefit from a right of withdrawal in respect of their order. The applicable cancellation terms are those described in Article 6 below.

6. Cancellation by the Client

Any cancellation must be notified in writing (email to ops@ambulanceflight.com or a message confirmed by our 24/7 desk). The following cancellation fees, calculated as a percentage of the total mission price, apply from the moment the booking becomes firm:

If the operating air carrier imposes higher penalties than this schedule, or has already incurred non-refundable costs (positioning legs, overflight/landing permits, handling/FBO services), such costs may be passed on to the Client above the amounts stated above, with supporting documentation where available.

This schedule applies without prejudice to the Client's right to request, on a case-by-case basis, a goodwill exception in exceptional circumstances (for example, the patient's death before departure); any exception remains at Ambulance Flight's discretion.

7. Modification or cancellation by Ambulance Flight

Ambulance Flight makes every reasonable effort to carry out each mission as agreed. It may nonetheless need to change the aircraft, medical crew or scheduled timing, or cancel or postpone a mission, for reasons beyond its control: technical unavailability of the aircraft, weather conditions, overflight or landing restrictions, a medical contraindication to flight identified by the medical crew, or any other case of force majeure. In such cases, Ambulance Flight informs the Client as soon as possible and offers, depending on the situation, an alternative solution or a refund of amounts paid for the portion of the service not performed. No compensation beyond such a refund is owed by Ambulance Flight in these cases.

8. Performance of the service

The Client agrees to provide accurate and complete medical and logistical information (patient condition, valid travel documents, any restrictions) needed to prepare the mission and ensure the patient's safety. Any inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client that changes the means required for the mission may result in a price adjustment or, in the most serious cases, cancellation of the mission by Ambulance Flight without its liability being engaged.

The Client, or the third-party payer (insurer, assistance company) acting on their behalf, remains solely responsible for administrative, customs and consular formalities specific to their situation; Ambulance Flight assists and informs to the best of its knowledge, without guaranteeing the outcome of steps that depend on third-party authorities.

9. Insurance

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the quote, the mission price does not include travel insurance, cancellation insurance, or supplementary medical expense insurance: it is the Client's responsibility (or that of the third-party payer acting on their behalf) to check their insurance coverage and take out any additional cover suited to their situation.

10. Liability

Ambulance Flight uses all reasonable means to ensure the proper organization and coordination of each mission. Due to its status as a broker/intermediary (see Article 1), it cannot be held liable for the technical performance of the flight itself, which is the responsibility of the certified third-party air carrier, nor for the medical care provided, which is the responsibility of the medical crew and their own professional liability.

For any breach directly attributable to Ambulance Flight in performing its coordination role, Ambulance Flight's liability is limited to the amount actually paid by the Client for the mission concerned, excluding any indirect damages (loss of chance, non-material harm, consequential financial loss). Nothing in these Terms is intended, or shall be construed, to limit Ambulance Flight's liability in the event of gross or willful misconduct, or to exclude any mandatory rights granted to consumers under French law.

11. Personal data

The processing of personal and health data provided as part of an order is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Complaints and consumer mediation

Any complaint may be sent to ops@ambulanceflight.com. 13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution or mediation, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules applicable to consumers.

14. Changes to these Terms

Ambulance Flight may change these Terms at any time; the version applicable to an order is the one in force on the date the Client accepted the quote.
